Ken Gibson is the proud owner of RiverBend Builder LLC and RiverBend Roofing, with a strong reputation for excellence in both residential and commercial construction. Holding a SC Residential Builder License and an Unlimited General Contractor License, Ken brings decades of hands-on experience, craftsmanship, and leadership to every project he undertakes.

Born and raised in Society Hill, South Carolina, Ken now resides in Hartsville, SC with his wife Amber Gibson and their four children. Known for his deep-rooted values and hardworking spirit, Ken has built RiverBend on a foundation of quality, trust, and integrity.

When he’s not overseeing construction sites or consulting with clients, Ken enjoys spending time in the outdoors. His passions include hunting, fishing, farming, and trim carpentry—skills that not only reflect his love for nature and craftsmanship but also influence the personal touch he brings to his work.

With a commitment to building homes—and relationships—that last a lifetime, Ken Gibson continues to make a lasting impact in the communities he serves.

Originally from Clayton, North Carolina, Amber is the powerhouse behind sales and operations at RiverBend Builder. A graduate of NC State University with an MBA from Pembroke University, Amber combines education, experience, and passion in everything she does.

Now living in Hartsville, South Carolina with her husband Ken and their four children, Amber oversees sales, selections, contracts, estimation, and marketing for the company. A true lover of design and detail, she brings a unique eye and tireless dedication to every project.

Highly driven and hands-on, Amber believes that no one will work harder for you—with both skill and heart.

Raised In Darlington, SC, Kim Shoffner holds the unique distinction of being RiverBend’s longest-serving team member outside of ownership. She joined us in the earliest days—when our office was our dining room table—and has been a steady, loyal presence ever since.

Kim plays a vital role in bringing our projects to the finish line. She steps in during the final stages—beginning at paint—and helps guide each home through punch lists and new home orientations. Her keen eye for detail and natural rapport with clients ensure that every project is closed out with excellence and care.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Kim is grounded by her love for family, which shines through in her work and relationships. Outside of RiverBend, she enjoys photography and spending time with her horses.

We are beyond grateful to have Kim as a foundational part of the RiverBend team.

Based in Hartsville, SC, Amy Rowzee is the heart of the RiverBend Builder office—keeping everything running smoothly with her unbeatable mix of organization, creativity, and sharp attention to detail. With a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and Painting, Amy brings a designer’s eye to the building process, adding value not just behind the scenes, but also in the way we serve our clients.

She lives in Hartsville with her husband, Red, and is a proud mom with a grandbaby on the way. Amy’s known for her quick wit, great sense of humor, and her ability to juggle just about anything we throw her way. Whether it’s managing the day-to-day operations, helping customers, or adding a creative touch, it’s amazing how quickly Amy has truly become the glue that holds our team together!

Fred is the kind of guy you didn’t know you needed—until he walks through the door. A talented chef, martial artist, devoted husband and father, and all-around cool guy, Fred quickly became a cornerstone of the RiverBend team. His timing couldn’t have been more perfect—he showed up at Ken’s office without a job posting, just as if it were meant to be. And we believe it was.

At RiverBend, Fred handles everything from final finishing touches to warranty work and all the odds and ends that keep things running smoothly on and around our homes. He’s the steady hand, the calm in the storm, and the guy everyone loves having around. We’re lucky to have him—and we know it.

James oversees the final half of the homebuilding process, ensuring each project crosses the finish line with quality and care. With over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, James brings invaluable knowledge to our team.

He played a key role in implementing Buildertrend and developing our digital build schedules, helping us streamline processes and better serve our homeowners.

A proud father to Ken and a true animal lover, James heads back to Concord each weekend to spend time with his wife and beloved pets.
